How do i convince my mom to let me get plugs?

I was planning on getting plugs for summer, but my mom is being real ignorant about it. She's saying that only girls have piercings, and that if I get piercings I'm gay.. I have no problems with gay people.. but I'm not gay. What can I tell her to make her change her opinion?
