Financial Aid Questions (FAFSA) !!?

When applying to colleges when will I find out how much aid I will receive? I am planning to apply for early decision, but will I know how much aid I will receive BEFORE I have to choose the school I want to attend? I'm looking at 3 schools in particular, where one is quite a bit more expensive to attend but I really like it. How much the final cost of the school is (after aid) is a large part in my choice. Any help is appreciated! (:
