Why are people so f**ked up?

At which stage of human development does the human body start listening to the "animal instinct" bullshit of fake friendships, stealing, cheating, profit based business, fiat currency, fiat religion, jealousy and competition? At what IQ do people start thinking rationally and move to better themselves? Why throughout the rest of human life we don't listen to logic? Why does noone care? Why are people critical but not critical thinkers?
