Problem receiving texts..?

Alright, well I'm not one to get pissed over little things, but basically heres the deal: My phone can call, receive calls, and send texts. ever since about 2 hours ago, its decided to ignore any incoming texts. I know this because i've tried to send sms to my phone, and so has my friend, and i cant get hers either.. It just don't wanna work. It's MetroPCS, and i'm a bit skeptic about if this 45 plan is any good.. i mean i tried restarting the phone.. that didnt work. checked my incoming settings, all of that. The platform is Android 2.3, and of course its frozen up atleast 7 if not more times a day, but i dont give 2 shits about that as long as i can recieve my texts. So can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
